Indie Freeware Game Release: Sqrxz 2

Posted by Dave Seaman on Tuesday, 15 March 2011

From the beautiful city of Salzburg in Austria comes news of this retro indie freeware game. I've no idea how you're supposed to pronounce it, but it's the second part of the "Sqrxz" series. Sqrxz 2 describes itself as "a pretty difficult Jump'n'Run game which requires you being fast but also careful" - and the video trailer soon tells you that it's "not for casual gamers"!

The game is kept in retro style and will immediately remind you of the good old 16-bit times with its pixel graphics and chip music!

Another noteworthy thing about Sqrxz 2 is the wide range of supported systems - there are already ports for 11 different systems; Windows, Ubuntu, Wiz, Caanoo, Pandora, Dreamcast, MotoMAGX, Symbian OS UIQ3, Symbian OS Series 60, Amiga OS4 and MorphOS, whilefurther ports for AROS, NetBSD and MacOS X are already in progress.  Astonishingly, further systems may follow!
