Indie game studio XS720 Ltd today introduces Platform Hell Pro 1.0, their first video game for iOS devices. Platform Hell! is a retro style platform game with simple and addictive game play, containing many colorful levels. Dodge monsters and collect diamonds to open the exit to the next level. Levels are quick and fast paced, although mastering them all will take some time. The Pro version of Platform Hell! contains 50 levels, which are unlocked after completion.
Lancashire, United Kingdom - Indie game studio XS720 Ltd today announced that their first videogame, Platform Hell! will be available immediately, exclusive for iPhone. Platform Hell! is a retro style platform game with simple and addictive game play, containing many colorful levels. Platform Hell! will be available worldwide on release. The Pro version will cost $0.99 in the U.S. App Store and priced accordingly in other regions. There will also be a free version.
In Platform Hell! the player has to dodge monsters and collect diamonds to open the exit to the next level. If the target time is beaten the player wins a medal. Complete all levels and collect a gold medal on each to complete the game. Levels are quick and fast paced, although mastering them all will take some time.
Platform Hell Pro ($0.99)
The Pro version of Platform Hell! contains 50 levels, which are unlocked after completion. It contains two modes, normal and random. Normal mode allows progression between stages in a regular order. Random mode presents the levels in an arbitrary order, even if the level has been previously unlocked.
Platform Hell (free)
The free version of Platform Hell! will contain every level available in the paid version of the game. What's the catch? Every time you start a new game you have to start at level one, like games used to be played back in the 80's. The free game only contains normal mode.
"With Platform Hell! we wanted to offer something different from the usual lite offerings on the iPhone." said Alan. "Rather than restrict the game to 10 levels we decided to make every level available in the free version. Cost shouldn't restrict people from playing Platform Hell! If you are prepared to persevere, the entire game is available for free. However buying the Pro version makes the later levels easier to practice so hopefully we don't exclude anyone from playing."
