This is a rather interesting project - a New Yorker and a group of Italians have got together and are working on developing a 3D map of the Mediaeval town of Bologna, which is intended to be followed by a browser game based on the rivalry among Bologna noble families in the 13th century. Thanks to an innovative mode, the game will allow players, although within a strictly historical framework, to “physically” meet by means of various activities taking place within the local territory.  They're running a Kickstarter campaign to finance the first phase of the project, creating the map itself.
