Lampix Augmented Reality Games

Lampix is a new augmented reality platform that projects an interactive touchscreen onto flat surfaces using gesture recognition.  It's object recognition capability allows for programmers to develop games and applications where users can interact with both digital and real-life objects.

The device is basically a smart LED-lamp, combining a computer, high definition camera and projector into one.

The open API allows for development using Javascript and HTML, so developers can create games with both digital and physical properties.  For example, board games can be enhanced with digital tutorials and instructions that teach players how to play, game states can be saved, paused or recorded, points and record keeping can be kept digitally, or small game pieces can be replaced with digital ones.  These are just some of the possibilities.

Currently, a limited supply of developer kits are available now to be delivered by the end of the year.
