"The Gallows Frequency" released

Bwahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa!!  Did I scare ya?  Did I, did I?!?

Let me take you back, waaaaaaaaaaaaay back, to the infancy of home computing and the ZX81.  The above shot is, as many of you will already know, from a game called "3D Monster Maze".

Why am I telling you this?  Because The Gallows Frequency by Podunk Studios is basically a modern take on that ancient game.  You wake up in a room and a voice tells you that a "game" is going to start, which basically involves you, a maze, finding a key, and... oh yeah, a monster who's going to kill you if it finds you.  Nice.

With its grainy, claustrophobic graphics and monster that's most definitely more scary than the one above, this is gaming nostalgia with a modern edge.

If you want to try it, The Gallows Frequency is available on on a Pay What You Want basis.
