Retrobooster to be released on 21st February 2014

Eighteen months ago, Terry Welsh quit his job programming simulations at NASA and went to work full time making Retrobooster. Now it is finished and he can't wait for the world to try it. It will soon be available from reallyslick.com, Humble Store, Indie Game Stand, and Desura.

Retrobooster is a reinvention of the cave-flyer for players who love games of skill. Set at 1980s difficulty, it is a survival shooter that balances careful navigation, bullet hell battles, speed-flying challenges, and puzzles. Unlike in most cave-flyers, your ship is extremely responsive. Great detail has been invested in the physics and feel of the controls to create a fresh experience. Your first goal is merely to survive to the end, while practiced players can shoot for high scores. There is also split-screen multiplayer and a custom particle engine dishing out the pyrotechnics.

Release date: February 21, 2014
Platforms: Windows, Linux
Price: US $17.99 (or pre-order for US $12 before February 21)
DRM: none
