In cooperation with Apalon, Nicholas Henson today announces Swing King 1.0, his new game for iOS. Swing King is a game where users can relive their childhood swing jumping competitions. The goal is to jump off the swing and see how far one can land - this time with the help of birds hovering in the sky to give the player extra boosts. The farther the player lands, the more points can be obtained. With these points, users are able to purchase additional attachments.
New York, NY - Nicholas Henson , with the help of Apalon, is announcing the availability of a new app called Swing King. This is an addicting game where one can bring the playground straight into their iPhone. Swing King is suited for all ages and can create new forms of competition amongst friends and family.
The goal is to jump off the swing and see how far one can land - this time with the help of birds hovering in the sky to give the player extra boosts. The farther the player lands, the more points can be obtained. With these points, users are able to purchase additional attachments that will allow to gain more altitude, speed, hover, or skip over rocks on the ground. One can also buy additional points with the in-app purchase right from the beginning.
With the OpenFeint integration, users can share their high scores and challenge their friends. Swing King is sure to maintain entertainment amongst users and bring back the joy of jumping off a swing.

"I'm really excited to finally bring my first app to the App Store, one that nearly everyone can identify with as a child trying to jump farther than your friends off a swing. There is a great twist to the idea in the game with different attachments that we wish we could have used to beat our friends. I'm sure everybody will enjoy it." - said Nicholas Henson, the creator of Swing King.
Device requirements:
* Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad
* Requires iOS 3.0 or later
* 14.3 MB
Pricing and availability:
Swing King 1.0 is only $0.99 (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and is available exclusively through the App Store in the Games category. Nicholas is looking forward to users' feedback and will be glad to answer any questions about Swing King.
