Soccertron -- A local multiplayer sports game with a neon touch

Spain, Tomares -- Mar 10, 2015 -- Practice soccer and other sports the way they are meant to be played: sitting on a couch with your friends!

Soccertron is a local multiplayer sports game with a simple premise: Kick the ball or your friends to win the match! Play across 5 different game fields resembling some typical ball games: soccer, basketball and volleyball. But beware! There's no referee around and everything is allowed, even the most treacherous actions!

"I wanted to bring back the feeling of playing 'offline' with friends, like those times where we played all together on a single keyboard. But with gamepads. Because there's no need to be masochist" Said David, the game developer. He also stated that "[...] although the game is only local multiplayer right now, depending on the demand I will try to make it also online. But there's no rush, as your couch is the best matchmaking server that you'll find..."

Game Features:
* Fast and frenetic action for up to four players.
* Five different game fields ranging from easy to infuriatingly hard.
* Competitive bots capable of multiple roles: defense, attack and all around.
* Online multiplayer planned.

Soccertron will be released on March 12th on Steam and will be available for Windows, OSX and SteamOS/Linux:

Luna League Soccer kicks off on Kickstarter

Amsterdam, The Netherlands - Lunagames has unveiled their latest game Luna League Soccer, which will be made available for mobile devices and PC in the beginning of next year. The game is nearing completion, but Lunagames wishes to add extra features and turns to Kickstarter for additional investment. If the game is successfully funded, there are stretch goals in place that will add Mac, Linux and consoles as target platforms.

Luna League Soccer is an over-the-top game that takes inspiration from old arcade classics such as Nintendo World Cup (NES) and Mario Strikers (Gamecube). This game follows the basic rules of Soccer, but adds crazy power ups and magic attacks to the mix.

Players control one of 12 rivalling factions that are fighting for world domination. The game of Soccer is used as a means to overcome political stand-offs and avoid military conflict. Every two years there is a tournament that determines who will rule Luna for the next term.

"Luna League Soccer is our most ambitious project yet", said Jeroen Mol, Development Manager at Lunagames. "We have created a game that is already fun to play, but being able to implement some of our other ideas would be the cherry on the cake. We want to add story levels, online multiplayer and a tournament mode. Kickstarter enables the community to become part of this exciting project and we have developed amazing rewards for those who choose to back us".

Among the great selection of rewards available through the campaign, supporters can gain access to not only BETA playable code, but also the opportunity to pledge for an exclusive art-book, T-shirt and even have the chance to become part of the exclusive in-game All Star Backers team. This 13th faction will be especially designed after the likeness of Luna League Soccer's top three backers.

For more information on the game, goals, rewards and to watch gameplay video, please visit the Kickstarter page.

I have had a quick look of the press preview build of this (Android version) and I have to say that, though the controls aren't perfect, it's a lot of fun.  Definitely one to watch!

Update for iOS version of New Star Soccer

In the new update of New Star Soccer on iOS you can now be made captain for both club and country. You will need to keep your relationships high and impress the boss with consistently good performances, but if you are made captain you will be able to set runs for your team mates, have more match interviews and make more sponsorship money.
A number of bug fixes and other improvements to the start of a new career (in order to ease players into the game better) have also been made.

Pixel Soccer's Kickstarter is now live!

The retro footie game already has 120 backers... I can't really see this one taking long to get funded!  If you like retro football ("soccer" to our cousins over the pond) games, check out the Pixel Soccer Kickstarter Campaign.

(The trailer could use a little work and the goalies all look like they could do with some practice, but I'm guessing goalie skill will be something you can select in the finished game! :-D)

Soccer Moves: Puzzle Mechanics Meet Soccer Strategy

October 31st, 2013, South Africa. Award winning, indie games studio Fuzzy Logic is proud to announce the release of their newest game, Soccer Moves, on iOS and Android. Soccer Moves offers a new take on soccer games by combining puzzle mechanics and soccer tactics and bringing them to the playing field. Solve puzzles by outsmarting chess-like defenders and become a soccer legend!
You start off as an amateur player and build your way up to fame and the international scene, by solving tactical puzzles. Strategy is key, as you only get a limited number of moves for each challenge. Pass, run or shoot your way through the defenders to score the perfect goal. Plan out your moves, and spectate the whole trick in action!
The game is designed to appeal to puzzle games lovers and soccer fans alike. The first can enjoy the puzzle challenges of outsmarting chess-like defenders, while the latter can use clever soccer tactics to solve each puzzle on their way to the professional league.
Rendered in cool 3D graphics, Soccer Moves features defenders that provide not only unique challenges, but also a humorous take on legendary soccer players, introduced by quirky cinematics. There are also plenty of unlockable equipment kits, upgrades and special power-ups to aid you on your journey towards worldwide recognition.
Soccer Moves is now available free on the Apple App Store™ and Google Play™!

Awesome Soccer by Red27 Studios

The Blurb...

Awesome Soccer takes it's inspiration from the genre defining soccer games of the last decade, blasting them into the 21st Century with the graphical realism, features and polish that today's modern gamer demands.

Awesome Soccer features the "Awesome Aftertouch System" - a revolutionary control system that enables you to apply bend and swerve the ball with dramatic effect. It's so sophisticated - yet so simple to use – that you can even bend the ball in Multiple Directions during a single shot! Finally, you can bend it BETTER than a certain footballing icon!

The game allows you to challenge for glory in over 12 Preset Competitions from around the World, with yet more in the pipeline that will be available to download free of charge.

Awesome Soccer has been written by just one guy, Peter Cox. But he was helped out by Simon Cowell...

An interesting fact is that he did most of the coding on a laptop whilst sitting next to his significant other as she watched the myriad of Reality TV shows like “Big Brother”, “Britain's Got Talent” and “The X-Factor”...

...the rumours that Simon has been thanked personally in the credits are, as yet, unconfirmed...

Check Out This Teaser Video...

Getting Your Hands On The Game...

Awesome Soccer is available now for Windows, Mac and Linux from for just $9.95.
