Sign Motion - The story of the kid who escaped from the school crossing sign

For a long, long time they have been bound by rules and assumptions. Trapped within the boundaries of signs. Doing the same thing over and over again. Until one day, the kid from the school crossing sign is thrown out - unleashing a new world - the world of Sign Motion. Where will the kid go now? Will others follow, help or oppose?

The game takes the player into the world of Sign Motion - a new world that emerged when the kid from the school crossing sign realized they could move outside the boundaries of signs. As the kid progresses through the game, more and more signs realized they too are not trapped within boundaries.

Besides the basic story line, the signs and boundaries are obvious metaphors of our society and how we are told things about what we can/can't do and how it's hard to break out of such beliefs, routines or prejudice. The game conveys these messages through signs and silent animations seen along the player's path.

The game is set to launch in October on Steam.

This is one of the most fascinating games I've seen this year.  Check out the trailer:
