Astrobase Command

Heh... I'd had this game on my radar to post about for a couple of days, thought "finally I'll be posting about a game that isn't procedurally generated", then came across this bit in the game's description:

After defining and customizing your species, you play in a procedurally generated universe with AI-created events and stories. Astrobase Command is about realizing your science-fiction fantasy.

Ah well.  (It's not that I have anything against procedurally generated games of course, just that I seem to have posted about rather a lot of them recently - Approaching Infinity Imagine NationsOrbis Infinitas and Tiny Trek.)

Anyway, about Astrobase Command... it won't surprise you to know that it's a Sandbox game, but maybe you wouldn't expect it to have a low sci-fi 70s setting, or be a a character-driven survival and building simulation?

  • Astrobase Command combines elements of Base-BuildingRPG Sandbox, and features AI-generated stories.
  • The funding goal is for the single player version of the game. We would love to do anoptional persistent multiplayer game mode, but this would take additional resources and is part of our stretch goals.
  • Astrobase Command will be available on PC, Mac, and Linux.
