“The results of the Pokki 1UP Contest, in terms of both the quality and quantity of the games submitted, surpassed our wildest expectations, and caused productivity to plummet in offices around the world during the last 60 days,” said Adrian Bourke, Co-Founder and VP of Products at SweetLabs. “Pokki lets indie developers differentiate their games by offering a simple and easy way to get in front of players on the desktop beyond traditional social networks and in-browser game play. These great games show that HTML5 is not just a buzzword for web and mobile games, but can enable great content across multiple platforms, including the desktop.”
Pokki makes it easier than ever for developers to create awesome, connected desktop apps and games using standard web languages like HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Users can access their favorite services like Gmail, Facebook and social games from EA and Kabam through beautiful desktop apps just a click away, with real-time notifications to keep users up-to-date. Pokki is currently available for Windows and coming soon to Mac.
Don't forget you can also keep up to date by adding the Indie Game News Google+ page to your circles.
