Ensign-1 - freeform space combat

Posted by Dave Seaman on Monday, 5 March 2012

Only Human Studios have been in touch to tell me about their new game, Ensign-1:

About Ensign-1

Freeform Space Combat

"Ensign-1 is a space combat game with the idea that the player should have as much freedom as they like. You aren't limited to merely piloting a single fighter throughout the course of a battle, but are free to dock and board on frigates, capital ships, and even asteroid bases. Allowing the players to leave their ships by foot to explore the larger vessels and commander turrets and other starships. In multiplay players are free to man turrets while a friend pilots their ship, or even simply battle it out on foot.

Ensign-1 will feature both multiplayer modes and a single player (and co-op) campaign complete with story based missions and voice actors!

The game will be released on PC for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Since our successful Kickstarter campaign, we've had a number of people ask us if there was any way they could still donate to help out and/or claim some of the rewards we offered in our late Kickstarter campaign. Well gosh, being the kind souls we are, we've "grudgingly" decided to re-open crowd funding with the game! This time around we will be using 8-bit funding to help fund our creation of Ensign 1.

We aren't trying to beg anyone, this is just for those that wanted a second chance to help out. And to everyone that already has, we want to extend our most sincere gratitude, you've really helped us realize a dream."

Don't forget you can also keep up to date by adding the Indie Game News Google+ page to your circles.
