Announcing Beamed 1.20 for iPhone and iPod touch with Game Center Achievements and the Weekly Bonus Level Blitz! Starting with v1.20 glimmerWave software plans to release 5 All-New Free Bonus levels each week. Players worldwide rave about Beamed - the dazzling optics puzzle game that puts the physics of light at your fingertips. Create dazzling and unexpected networks of colored light beams while learning the basics of color combination, reflection and refraction.
Charlottesville, Virginia - glimmerWave software announces the release and immediate availability of Beamed v1.20 for iPhone and iPod touch with Game Center Achievements and the Weekly Bonus Level Blitz. Beamed is a spectacular free puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod touch that lets users directly experience the Physics of Light.
"Regularly releasing all-new free levels is our way of keeping Beamed fresh" says Patrick Keith-Hynes, CTO and founder of glimmerWave software. "Beamed is such a powerful educational tool. We want people to learn and have fun playing with reflection, refraction and color combination."
Beamed enables players to directly manipulate colored light beams by placing prisms, mirrors and beamsplitters within an optical maze. Each level contains one red, one green and one blue laser and an array of colored jewels sprinkled throughout a maze. The red, green and blue light beams instantly combine onscreen as the player moves mirrors and prisms about, creating beautiful and often unexpected patterns of light. By dragging optical elements from the toolbar, players combine, split and bounce colored beams through the maze to match the color of each jewel.
Beamed comes with an integrated hint system to help players navigate its increasingly challenging mazes. If you find yourself stuck on a level a tap of the hint button will correctly position one of your pieces and will even drag additional optical elements from the toolbar. Beamed supports Game Center Leader Boards and Achievements and will award points for each level that a player completes without the use of hints. Although Beamed supports all models of the iPhone and iPod touch the graphics are particularly beautiful on the Retina Display.
Beamed comes with 42 Free levels and 5 Free Bonus Levels. An additional 100 levels are available for $0.99. The paid upgrade also removes all ad banners.
